If, in the rare event that there is major bleeding during the time of delivery and a blood transfusion becomes necessary, then the exact blood type needs to be known.

  • Irregular Antibody
  • It is one kind of blood type.
As for the antibody of this kind, it is the cause of neonatal jaundice and must be in reference in the case the person needs a blood transfusion.

  • Hepatitis B Antigen (HB)
  • It is one kind of the Hepatitis B strand antigen Hepatitis virus.
If you are positive, then a more detailed inspection will be done.
In addition, in order to not pass it on to the child if positive, an injection of antibodies must be given to the child within 3 days after birth.

  • Hepatitis C Antibody
  • It is one kind of hepatitis virus. If found positive, tests on the liver will be required.

  • Rubella Antibody
  • If rubella is contracted by the 16th week of pregnancy, there is a risk of abnormal heart, vision, and hearing of the fetus.
In early pregnancy we will check the antibodies and check for whether or not there is a possibility that you are infected.
If there are no antibodies, then you will be cautioned as to prevent it until the 16th week of pregnancy.
If the antibodies are too high, then further testing is necessary.
Re-infection is a rare case, but because it is a very possible outcome, at our clinic, regardless of previous vaccination history and antibody titer, we are taking measurements of all pregnant women and the two rubella antibody titer in the early and midterm phase.

  • Syphilis (RPR, TPHA)
  • When it is discovered, in order to prevent congenital syphilis, it must be treated with antibiotics immediately.

  • HIV Antibody
  • This is the so-called HIV/ AIDS testing. Requires inspection by a hospital specialist if positive.

  • Toxoplasma Antibody
  • A type of infection called, “Toxoplasma” that is contracted mainly from pets.
What is asymptomatic in many cases, if infected in early pregnancy, there is a risk of abnormalities in the fetus.
If positive, further examination and treatment by antibiotics is needed.

  • Blood Sugar Test
  • By the pregnancy, glucose spun to the fetus, the hormone hPL (human placental lactogen), there is an antagonism from the placenta, and there is a tendency to decrease the glucose tolerance function of the mother’s body (while pregnant, on an empty stomach the blood sugar value is easy to decrease, and after meals it is easy to increase).
There are cases of those who were overweight to begin with, and have a history of type 2 diabetes in the family and after the pregnancy became diabetic.
However, it is also a thing that the diagnostic criteria is a bit rigid for gestational diabetes and there is a reason to get gestational diabetes.

  • Anemia Test
  • This is a check to see that there is no anemia and no abnormalities in the number of platelets.
During the pregnancy, in order to supply blood to the fetus, your own blood volume will be at 1.5 times the usual.
Due to the blood being diluted it is likely to have a state of anemia.
If it becomes worse, heart palpitations and shortness of breath will appear, and because the fetus will become anemic too, if you have anemia you may need to take iron orally, or visit the hospital for injections.
Let’s take a diet that is high in iron than usual during the pregnancy.
For those who are not fond of eating like this, we don’t mind if you use a supplement.
